Come join us as certified Physiotherapist and Polestar Pilates (Rehabilitation) Instructor, Cerise presents an overview on diastasis recti, and experience a complimentary 30 mins Pilates-based movement session centered around connecting with your breath & core muscles, and strategies to address diastasis recti.
Suitable for women who are pregnant (12-36 weeks), have recently had a child (12 weeks and beyond), or is suffering from diastasis recti. Participants are required to bring your own exercise mat and drinking water for this session.
Restrictions: those with complicated or multiples pregnancy, or whose doctor have told them exercise is unsuitable for them.

Dr Janice Tung 

About the Speaker
Dr Janice Tung obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore, where she received the SS Ratnam Book Prize by the O&G Society of Singapore for topping her cohort in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G). She subsequently completed her post-graduate specialty training in the SingHealth Residency Programme for O&G, and attained her accreditation as a Specialist in O&G by the Specialists Accreditation Board (Ministry of Health, Singapore). Dr Janice is currently a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK).
Dr Janice was previously an Associate Consultant of the Department of O&G in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). She was also appointed clinical faculty of Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, and have received the Inspiring Resident-Educator Award (SingHealth) for her contributions to medical student and Residency education.
Dr Janice’s extensive experience in managing a wide variety of gynaecological conditions and antenatal care include high-risk pregnancies, with her interests lying in subfertility issues and pregnancy-related complications such as preterm labour, minimally invasive surgery and vulvar disease. She received the prestigious SingHealth Foundation Research Grant Award and the SingHealth Duke-NUS O&G Academic Clinical Programme (ACP) Grant Awards for her work on improving ovarian conservation in laparoscopic cystectomies, as well as labour induction and preterm labour. Dr Janice remains dedicated to providing a value-based, holistic, fulfilling and positive pregnancy experience for women as an Obstetrician, and the best care for her patients as a Doctor.

About the Speaker
Physician Seah Ai Wei obtained her degree from the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During her tenure at Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM, she has worked alongside experienced doctors specialising in various disciplines, including internal medicine, gastroenterology, gynaecology, oncology, respiratory, dermatology, and rheumatology.

Physician Seah advocates for mental wellness and has developed a special interest in utilising acupuncture and Chinese medicine to support women dealing with fertility issues and postpartum recovery. She is also committed to addressing gastrointestinal health concerns.

In addition to her Chinese medicine practice, Physician Seah is an articulate bilingual speaker. She has delivered numerous talks on fertility and maternity, providing guidance and support to expecting couples throughout their parenthood journeys.

Physician Seah is a fully registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Physician with the TCM Practitioners Board and a member of the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association.

Ms Chen Li Qin is the Head of Department at Thomson ParentCraft Centre. She joined Thomson Medical Centre in 2006 as a ParentCraft Advisor and Lactation Consultant.
Ms Chen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Advanced Diploma in Midwifery, and is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and International Certified Infant Massage Instructor.
Besides helping many new parents to cope with their newborn and guiding new moms in breastfeeding successfully, Ms Chen often conducts in-house breastfeeding talks for new mums in Thomson Medical Centre. Ms Chen was also an invited speaker for many seminars and on Baby’s First Steps television series on Channel-8.

The Breastfeeding Mothers’ Support Group (Singapore) (BMSG) is a charity that offers mothers breastfeeding counselling and help. It is run by passionate volunteers who are mothers like many of you here. BMSG has existed for over 50 years and is an Institute of Public Character (IPC).

BMSG is invited for a storytelling session up next. They will be reading a book that they published themselves! The first and only breastfeeding picture book for mummies and babies in Singapore! Join the session and find out how mama and baby continue to breastfeeding bond when they are out and about visiting wonderful places.

When BMSG was established in the mid-70s, breastfeeding rates had fallen to an all-time low. To support breastfeeding mothers, SBMG organised a variety of events, such as coffee mornings, phone counselling, breastfeeding seminars and baby shows to enhance public awareness of the importance of breastfeeding. In addition, SBMG sought to actively spread its pro-breastfeeding message by distributing breastfeeding literature.

Stephanie Loh is the founder and artistic director of STEP Studio. Inspired by her daughter, Stephanie created Little Steps programme to introduce dance to children in a safe & encouraging space through series of exploratory dance classes that use story-based adventures.
